PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS
Professional designations represent extensive study and testing. Only a few financial planners have the level of certification of the Alpha Financial principals. To better understand the meaning of these certification levels, we have included those that we hold and what they mean to you.
Certified Financial Planner
The CFP® certification process, administered by CFP Board, identifies to the public that those individuals who have been authorized to use the CFP® certification marks in the U.S. have met rigorous professional standards and have agreed to adhere to the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism and diligence when dealing with clients.
Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor
Financial advisors face an increasingly complex onslaught of retirement planning questions as aging baby boomers look for investments to meet their lifestyle needs in 10 years, 20 years, and beyond. Reputable financial advisors with the CRPC designation have the expertise and credibility to provide top level retirement advice.
Certified Public Accountant
In order to become a CPA almost all states require that an individual meet educational, experience and ethical requirements and pass the Uniform CPA Examination. Only then are individuals granted licenses to practice by state boards of accountancy.
AFFILIATIONS

National Association of Personal Financial Advisors

American Institute of CPAs (AICPA)

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and its predecessors have been the voice of the accounting profession since 1887. The AICPA prides itself on its serving the CPA profession and the public interest to which it is profoundly committed.
North Carolina Association of CPAs (NCACPA)

NCACPA's mission is to promote the competence, integrity, civic responsibility, and success of North Carolina CPAs. One of the association's greatest services is its comprehensive curriculum of continuing professional education. With the multitude of offerings across the state, NCACPA aids members in satisfying North Carolina's mandatory 40-hour CPE requirement and maintaining the highest professional excellence.
